Low key portraits

I've fallen in love recently with low key portraits. I've been trying to create some of mine - using my usual models and finally trying it out on a human as well :-)

Below are pictures before and after processing with Silver Efex Pro 2. In the case of cats, the light source was a large desk lamp positioned directly above their faces. In case of the last portrait - light came from a large window on the right of the subject.
